Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the HR department by delivering a wide range of HR services, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and ensuring compliance within a federal contracting environment. This role works collaboratively with employees, management, and leadership to support efficient the HR operations while ensuring adherence to federal regulations, company policies, and contract-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for federal contract roles.
- Ensure job descriptions are aligned with contract requirements and federal regulations.
- Manage the onboarding process, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and employee training.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and compliance matters.
- Assist in resolving employee conflicts, grievances, or concerns.
- Promote a positive work environment through various HR initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to federal labor laws, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with federal contractor requirements, including I-9 documentation and other required forms.
- Assist with audits related to federal contracting, including preparing for and participating in audits.
- Assist with federal reporting , (e.g., VETS 4212, EEOC)
- When require coordinate and facilitate training programs for employees, particularly those related to compliance, safety, and job-specific skills.
- Track employee development and ensure training requirements are met.
- Assist with benefits administration, including health insurance, and retirement plan.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues.
- Assist with Open enrollment .
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resource Information System) data entry, reporting, and document management.
- Support HR data analytics and provide reports on employee demographics, turnover, and other key metrics.
- Assist in policy development and updates.
- Support HR Manager on special projects related to federal contracts or other HR initiatives.
- Participate in HR team meetings and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience &* Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR or a similar administrative role, with a focus on federal contractor requirements preferred.
- Knowledge of federal labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO) and government contracting regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
- Strong communication, attention to details, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) SharePoint and HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with a federal contracting organization or working with federal government clients, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,085.00 - $60,000.00 per year
