Overview
The Test Engineer will support the Assistant Program Manager (APM) Test & Evaluation (T&E) in performing independent test planning and execution within an SAP ERP environment. Testing will include Functional, Integration, Data and other testing types. In addition to hands-on testing, the Test Engineer will also be responsible for developing testing artifacts such as test plans and manual test scripts, within the guidelines of published Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well perform reviews of the Integrators test plans and artifacts and provide feedback on test coverage and alignment to SOPs. Experience with SAP ERP modules such as FI/CO, AM, MM, SD is preferred but not required. This position requires active secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and develop test plans and test scripts
- Execute front-end and back-end testing within Agile methodology
- Document defects and track defect remediation lifecycle
- Present test plans and testing results to Government customers and peers
- Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA and ALM
- Represent the Government personnel as a Test and Evaluation SME
- Validate customer requirements, demonstrate requirements traceability, and evaluate objective quality evidence
- Develop and implement T&E metrics for reporting to the Government
Qualifications
· The candidate MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
· The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
· Experience with Agile and/or DEVSECOPS a plus
· SAP and/or ERP experience a plus
· Must be capable of performing effectively individually and as part of a team
· Must have effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Must be able to manage time and be on time to meetings
· Must be able perform duties on-site, at the Washington Navy Yard (Post COVID) when required
Pay Range
$115,000-$125,000, negotiable
