Requirements Engineer
Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development.
The Requirements Engineer will provide support to the Lead Engineer for a major cloud-based ERP system. The Requirements Engineer will perform the engineering and management of the portfolio requirements, including the Business Specification Document (BSD), Capability Production Document (CPD), Emerging Requirements, System Specification, Functional Requirements Design Specification (FRDS), Project Requirement Matrix (PRM) , Technical Functional Script (TFS), and other technical specification documents. They will work with requirements owners, user communities, system integrator, and government stakeholders to manage the changes and additions to the Navy ERP requirements. This position requires an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
Requirements for the Systems Engineer are as follows :
- Perform the engineering and management of the portfolio requirements, including t Business Specification Document (BSD), Capability Production Document (CPD), Emerging Requirements, System Specification, Functional Requirements Design Specification (FRDS), Project Requirement Matrix (PRM) , Technical Functional Script (TFS), and other technical specification documents.
- Work with requirements owners, user communities, system integrator contractor, and government stakeholders to manage the changes and additions to the Navy ERP requirements.
- Coordinate validation of test data for SETA Events
- Perform requirements verification, validation, and acceptance.
- Manage requirements traceability for each project and Navy ERP system overall.
- Participate with the Government program engineering teams during Systems Engineering (SE) Working Integrated Project Team (WIPT) and Working Group meetings and generate meeting minutes as required.
- Assist the Lead Engineer and other government personnel in preparing for reviews, presentations, and assessments.
- Prioritize track and manage action items to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Review program, project, or initiative documentation for technical compliance with appropriate compliance action lists, policy, requirements, standards, and processes
- Identify and evaluate program technical risks generated by requirements updates, additions, etc.
- Plan and conduct reviews, assess contract status, and recommend resolution of technical issues.
- Update design change CHARM statuses in tools such as SolMan and Jira.
- Prepare well-written, detailed systems engineering documentation including analyses, white papers, presentations, weekly and monthly project updates etc.
- Attend and contribute to AGILE ceremonies.
