Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boiler systems to ensure efficient performance and safety compliance.
- Conduct regular inspections of boiler equipment and systems, identifying any maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including fuel consumption, water levels, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to boilers and associated systems, utilizing strong mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians and industrial mechanics to ensure seamless operations across systems.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or team members regarding boiler operations.
- Follow schematics and technical documentation for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the training of new staff on boiler operation protocols and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in boiler operation or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of HVAC/R principles.
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices and hydraulics is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
- Field service experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
