Duties

- Perform laboratory experiments to test hypotheses related to environmental science.
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and ArcGIS software for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop strategies for environmental protection and restoration.
- Engage in fieldwork, including site assessments, sampling, and monitoring of ecosystems.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities, methodologies, and results.
Experience
- A degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in data collection techniques and scientific research methodologies.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment relevant to environmental analysis.
- Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS) for spatial data management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus for data analysis tasks.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating reports that effectively communicate research findings.
- Mechanical knowledge related to environmental monitoring equipment can be beneficial.
- A background in gardening or horticulture may enhance understanding of ecological systems.
