Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on job sites. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, cranes, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, water trucks, concrete mixers, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in building and construction tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with backhoe operation, crane handling, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, water trucks, concrete mixers, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to identify issues and perform basic repairs.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the job site location.
