What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Manager position at Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc.?
Fall Creek is creating A World with Better Blueberries™ through its collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Treasury Manager.
Reporting to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the Treasury Manager is a key member of the Finance team who collaborates on a daily basis with the Controller and FP&A organizations globally, to develop cash, working capital and liquidity short term and long range forecasts and to deliver, report on and analyze actual performance against forecast. This includes determination of the Company’s daily cash position and initiation of transactions in connection with borrowings, investments, and funds transfers. The Treasury Manager is also responsible for establishing and maintaining banking and lender relationships and monitoring and reporting on adherence to debt covenants and supports the CFAO on any changes to banking relationships and debt refinancing.
This position is also responsible for oversight of customer credit and collections. The Company has very low write-off activity, the primary focus is collection forecasting and delivery and recurring credit analysis (dependent of customer payment practices/credit risk assessment). The Treasury Manager will interface with the Company’s commercial Managers and customers on an as needed basis to resolve issues.
The role runs the gamut from roll up your sleeves core work to strategic treasury management recommendations for a global leader in the ag tech sector.
This position will be located in Eugene, Oregon, or elsewhere in the US, but with travel requirements .
What you'll do at Fall Creek:
Cash Management
Maintains rolling cash forecast model
Analyzes trends, variances to forecast and provides analysis
Prepares calculations, reports necessary to maintain compliance
Prepares and reconciles the corporate daily cash position
Funds all domestic and international operational bank accounts
Develops hedging strategy and assists with execution of currency hedging strategies
Banking Portfolio Management
Maintains the Company’s banking relationships and portfolio
Recommend and implement improvements to current global account structure
Develops financial structure recommendations
Develops and maintains a bank account matrix and filing system
Maintains banking software
Adheres to the standards set forth in the FCPA
Special Projects
Assists in meeting department and corporate goals by actively participating on special projects teams
Assists in preparing balance sheet and trade working capital budgets and forecasts
Assists internal and external auditors in connection with banking and financial statement audits
Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Assists external tax consultants in optimization of taxes and associated cash flows
Credit & Collections
Establish recurring cadence of forecast and actual performance
Oversight to the credit analysis process
What you bring to Fall Creek:
7 years’ experience in Treasury/Finance in a multi-currency global organization.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or finance required.
CTP certification strongly preferred
CPA or master’s degree a plus.
Extensive Excel experience and use of additional tools such as Power BI or Excel add-ons to develop reporting from ERP databases.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requires good judgment and the ability to positively influence team decision making.
Highly detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with many interdependencies.
Demonstrated record of success in a multicultural environment and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
Ability and interest in working in a role with, (and leading others broadly through), frequent and recurring reporting or transactional deadlines.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across the organization.
Position requires an executed confidentiality and non-solicitation agreement.
Remote Working:
This role is most effective through establishing relationships with other finance team members and the Managership team and understanding the financial processes and systems utilized by Fall Creek. It is also important for this role to see the operations in Fall Creek as context to understanding the business and culture. At the same time, many of the day-to-day activities do not require presence on site. The initial assessment of the ability for this position to work remotely is as follows:
First 6 months: minimum of 50% of time at Fall Creek’s Eugene, Oregon offices per month
Thereafter: 25% or less time per quarter, but not 0%
