What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher or Substitute Para (Per Diem) position at Fall Mountain School District?
- High School Diploma
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Report to the Building Administrator 15 minutes before the official opening of school
- Review all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day, when necessary with the Building Administrator
- Maintain as closely as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she has been assigned.
- Consult with the Building Administrator before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the Substitute Teacher’s Guide
- Report in writing, on the form provided by the school secretary, on the day’s activities at the conclusion of each teaching day
- Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and are dictated by good teaching practices
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Substitute Coordinator and/or the Building Administrator.

Position Title: Substitute Teacher
Terms of Employment: Per diem, at rates established by the Superintendent and approved by the School Board.
Qualifications:
Reports to: Substitute Coordinator and Building Administrator
Evaluation: Performed annually by the Substitute Coordinator with feedback from building administrators
Job Goal:
To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and effectively as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.
