We are seeking a self-motivated, knowledgeable, and dedicated Certified or Formally Trained dental assistant for our busy dental practice. Our office strives to ensure that adequate access to dental care is available for patients of all ages, demographics, and dental needs.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive duties such as coronal polishing and fluoride varnish and sealant application, when applicable by state law, under direct supervision from the dentist.
- Prepare the treatment room for the doctor or hygienist and the patient
- Prepare the patient for treatment
- Set up treatment room with the instruments and materials to be used
- Passes instruments and supplies to the doctor
- Take digital dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Uses suction during the procedure, and help keep the patient comfortable
- Take and pour alginate impressions
- Help educate patients
- Help with charting
- Bring the patient in for treatment. Walks patients out to the front desk after treatment.
- Take weight, blood pressure and pulse when required
- Sterilize instruments and disinfect the treatment room
- Restock the room
- Inform the head assistant when supplies need to be ordered
- Call patients who are late for their appointment
- Help other staff members, both clinical and administrative, when needed
- Take, pour, and separate alginate impressions
- Track lab cases as they are sent out and received back
- Call dental labs to pick up cases or follow up when a case has not been received
- Look ahead in the schedule to be certain lab cases are here on time
- Clean and maintain the hand pieces and equipment
- Helps keep the office clean and neat.
- Support and promote teamwork and a happy atmosphere in the office.
- Other duties may be assigned!
Pay: up to $32 per hour
Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, some Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
License/Certification:
- DANB Certified DA Certificate (Preferred)
- Radiology certification.
- Infection control certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Strong verbal/ communication skills
- Embrace a positive team approach to patient care
Work Location: In person

Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
