What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finishing Lead 1st Shift position at Fall River Die Cast?
As a Finishing Lead, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as one of the most critical production roles in the business. You will be responsible for the finishing and machining of castings. This is a hands-on, fast paced shop floor position that has a lot of variety day-to-day. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Help achieve production targets and deadlines
· Assist in operator training on various finishing/machining operations
· Operate CNC machines, assembly equipment, blast and vibratory equipment
· Set-up and change tooling, inspection, quality checks, gauging parts and making minor adjustments to machines and tooling if necessary
· Use hand tools to sand, debur, grind, and drill castings
A successful candidate should have some prior manufacturing experience in a factory environment. Die casting or foundry experience a plus but not required. You will be standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures throughout the plant. Attention to quality and following work instructions is very important. The candidate must be willing to learn, follow the directions of a supervisor, and work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required.
