What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician position at Fall River Health Services?
Fall River Health Services is looking or a Floor Technician. In this role you will perform daily floor cleaning duties as scheduled by the Housekeeping Supervisor, following specific established floor cleaning procedures and standards for each area of assignment. The major challenge of this position is to perform duties in traffic areas and around residents/patients, visitors, employees and the public and to adjust these duties if necessary.
Schedule: 40 hours a week 2:00 p.m. -10:30 p.m. Monday -Friday. Holiday and weekends as needed. Will start on call rotation after 90 days.
- Perform floor maintenance duties at assigned areas of the facility in a rotational setting to ensure established standards of floor maintenance are maintained.
- Adjust duties to ensure the needs of assigned areas are met.
- Perform work efficiently to contribute to an economical operation; interacts cooperatively with others to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform work according to prescribed safety standards to ensure that safe environment is maintained.
- Performs other related duties, including housekeeping duties and terminal cleans as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon facility needs and requirements.
Working Environment :
- Inherent potential for contact with blood, body fluids or tissues
- Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements exceed those for medium work.
- Frequent bending twisting, walking, stooping, kneeling and squatting
The average pay is $16.75-$18.00/hour depending on experience
- Education/Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Must be able to operate cleaning equipment such as a scrubber, vacuum, buffer, etc.
