What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Services Manager position at Fall River Municipal Credit Union?
POSITION FUNCTION:
Under the general supervision of the EVP of Operations, oversees all functions related to the servicing, quality control and collections efforts of the Loan Services Department.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage daily activities of Loan Services and Collections staff
- Coordinate servicing and collections workflow w including quality control; insurance tracking, escrow processing, personal and business loan servicing; delinquency management; and repossession and foreclosure processing
- Direct staff in researching and resolving loan and delinquency issues
- Administer the Credit Union’s overdraft program
- Create, maintain, and implement all Loan Services and Collections policies and procedures
- Review system reports daily, weekly, monthly or as instructed by the EVP of Operations or CEO
- Prepare board reports as directed by the EVP of Operations or CEO and as required by Credit Union policies
- Coordinate the training and development of Loan Services and Collections staff.
- Maintain own job knowledge and skill level needed to meet the requirements of the position
- Ensure compliance with Credit Union policy as well as with state and federal regulations
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and processes related paperwork and maintains an efficient workflow.
- Maintains advanced level of knowledge in lending and collection regulations and policies
- Assists members with information and services in their area of responsibility.
- Ensures confidentiality of member transactions.
- Performs related managerial and administrative duties as required.
- Maintains a safe and workable environment for subordinates while promoting a team effort among staff
- Participate in educational conferences, seminars and workshops to maintain knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Hand dexterity required to operate computer terminal and/or related equipment.
- Eye coordination required to operate computer/teller terminal.
- Moves around credit union between levels or floors while performing duties.
- Drives to and attends meetings as required.
- Bending and stretching in work area.
- Sitting at a desk or computer workstation for periods of time.
- Travels to Credit Union facilities/locations as required.
- Stretches and bends in vault area.
- Lifts books, ledgers, records, etc.
- Walks around Credit Union location in the performance of duties.
- Speaks and listens to customers and explains Credit Union services.

Requirements:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of leading a Lending Team; preferably within a Credit Union.
- Minimum 2 years of Collections Experience.
- Proven style of being proactive and multitasking among various projects and assets with organized, methodical system.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to maintain professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and on teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational, time-management and prioritizing skills.
