The Superintendent of Schools announces the following position within the Fall River Public School System:
Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)-Department Head
Job Description: The Behavior Analyst (BCBA) assists students with disabilities and oversees the substantially separate programming by developing and implementing the behavioral plans for that population and supervision of their programs.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Applied Behavior Analysis or Special Education.
- Appropriate Massachusetts Licensure (BCBA Certification and/or Special Education Licensure).
- Preference will be given to those candidates who present evidence of substantial experience in regular and/or special education settings.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Oversight of substantially separate programming at assigned schools.
- Provides BCBA consultative services as determined by an individual’s IEP Team, As they appear on the individual’s IEP service delivery grid.
- Case management for all students within substantially separate programming.
- Providing consistent academic and behavioral support to students and teaching staff.
- Identify and maintain community based partnerships to meet students' academic, transition and social emotional needs.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and devise appropriate behavior plans as part of the evaluation process for students pre-school through high school.
- Participate in all school based teams as needed, including the principal’s administrative team.
- Participate in Special Education team meetings as needed.
- Assist with scheduling of students classes within that programming section.
- Provide weekly updates to school based and Special Education central office administration.
- Provide consultation and professional development to colleagues and the district as needed.
- Oversight of implementation, training, and usage for both online and hard copy curriculum utilized for the program.
- Serve on the school site evaluation team and as the primary evaluator for paraprofessionals.
- Creation and maintaining of student academic (ABA based) programs..
- Participation in district wide collaboration meetings
- Additional duties as assigned by the Office of Special Education
- Participates in the evaluation of staff in these programs as directed.
The Superintendent of Schools reserves the right to waive a position qualification or determine that there is an acceptable alternative to that qualification. If the Superintendent intends to waive a qualification, such intent will be shared with the Fall River School Committee.
Reports To: The Principal and the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education or their designee
Supervises: Assists with supervision and evaluation of staff in substantially separate programs and classrooms
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the FRAA Bargaining Unit, Level 2A. Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding

Salary : $84,504 - $106,430
