The Superintendent of Schools announces the following position within the Fall River Public School System :
POSITION : Coach / Interventionist
POSITION SUMMARY : The Coach / Interventionist will support and assist classroom teachers with modeling and implementing strategies and content specific pedagogy to provide student support and accelerate progress.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Valid appropriate Massachusetts license & valid grade level for the position.
- A minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience.
- Successful completion of the Massachusetts test of Educator Licensure (MTEL) in appropriate grade level for the position.
- Demonstrated success working with teachers and administrators as a professional development provider, team leader, and / or facilitator.
- Ability to communicate effectively and model collaboration with staff and parents.
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and ensuring all students have access to high quality instruction
- Experience in developing and providing professional development to teachers in content-specific pedagogy.
- Knowledge of educational improvement planning and assessment / data driven instruction.
REPORTS TO : Building Principal or Designated District Director
RESPONSIBILITIES
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : In accordance with the Fall River Educators Association Contract. Continued employment is contingent on work performance, program need, and funding.
