The Superintendent of Schools announces the following position within the Fall River Public School System:
Position: Instructional Support Liaison - PASS School Liaison
Job Description: This position provides direct services to students. This position is to support and work with students in the PASS Program under the guidance of certified classroom teachers (Take out) PASS Social Worker/Administrator and PASS support staff. The position will implement targeted strategies and to build student skills and empower students to reach their short-term academic goals. This position will also act, along with the PASS Social Worker/Administrator as the lead contact for sending/referral school staff, and serve as academic tutor during academic time in the PASS program.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and facilitation for student instruction (replace with the following) academic and small-group support periods
- Collect, analyze, and monitor student data and interventions
- Lead targeted academic tutoring interventions on and/or academic instruction for small groups of students
- Attend professional development to support instruction and social-emotional needs of students
- Administer student testing and progress monitor student work
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors and administrators from sending schools
- Support the development of re-entry plans and assist in the transition back to school. Follow up with schools to receive reports on students once they return to school.
- Partner with the clinician, the Social Worker/Administrator and SEL Liaison to ensure a full day of programming and services aligned with individual student needs.
- Maintain student records to track student participation, outcomes and impact
- Collaborate with PASS Social Worker/Administrator to allocate limited PASS program seats and manage availability of space in the program
- Work collaboratively with PASS Social Worker/Administrator, SEL Liaison, and clinicians to support positive student behavior and to build positive student relationships
- Any other additional duties as assigned, including class coverages (take out)
- Any other additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the PASS Social Worker/Administrator or Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Strategic Integration
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience with K-12 age group in a coaching or teaching environment
- Second Language skills preferred
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Strategic Integration or Designee
Terms of Employment: Continued employment is contingent on work performance, program needs, and funding. Employees will work a 183 day work year and a 7 hour day, hours adjusted for assigned school.
Salary: $35,000
