The Superintendent of Schools announces the following position within the Fall River Public School System:
Position: Part time Home Visitor for the Parent Child Plus Program
Job Goal:
Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. 2-3 years of experience working with young children or families.
3. Experience in urban setting preferred
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Provide twice weekly home visits to assigned families according to National Parent Child Plus Program (PC ) criteria.
2. Use appropriate books and toys for young children in accordance with PC standards
3. Model reading, conversation, and developmentally appropriate play activities for parents that promote language
development.
4. Prepare, maintain records, reports and /or test data on participating children and makes recommendations
5. Work with PC Coordinator to prepare monthly reports
6. Demonstrate a continuing commitment to professional growth.
7. Communicate in a professional, friendly, manner with all families and Fall River Public School staff.
The Superintendent of Schools reserves the right to waive a position qualification or determine that there is an acceptable
alternative to that qualification. If the Superintendent intends to waive a qualification, such intent will be shared with the Fall
River School Committee.
Reports To: PC Grant Program Coordinator
Salary and Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Fall River Educators' Association contract. Continued
employment is contingent on work performance, program need, and funding.
