Background:
The MLL Summer Program will be a four-week summer academic/enrichment program running from July 7-August 1, 2025. The program will operate Mondays –Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The program will be held at a Fall River Public School TBD. Students will work on fun and engaging project-based lessons based on grade level science curriculum, receive direct instruction in oral language, and continue to build English skills to access grade level content. This program is designed for newcomers and will have a specific focus on English language acquisition for students in grades K-5.
Position: Summer program site coordinator
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
- Recruit students & attend to details of student enrollment
- Maintain attendance records
- Parent outreach
- Supervising students and staff throughout the day
- Complete weekly payroll
- Order supplies & curriculum materials.
- Implementing enrichment activities that embed the Massachusetts content frameworks and promote 21st CCLC learning outcomes
- Taking and reporting attendance
- Supervising children throughout the day
- Attending professional development before the start of the summer program
- Chaperoning students on field trips
