Summary
As a Medication Aide at Fallbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This position involves administering medications and providing compassionate support to seniors, ensuring their health and well-being while contributing to a caring community.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Provide support and education to residents and families regarding medication management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Aide.
- Experience in senior care or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physiology and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance.
- Compassionate attitude towards elderly individuals, especially those with dementia or disabilities.
