Faller, Davis & Associates, Inc. (FDA) is seeking to hire a part-time engineering intern in the Maitland office. Applicants are required to be enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program with a focus on transportation. The position will offer opportunities to work with industry experts in Roadway Design.
Roadway Design
FDA’s roadway design team is recognized as one of the preeminent engineering groups in the State of Florida. Our roadway design projects range from major reconstruction projects to milling and resurfacing, trails, sidewalks, and maintenance of traffic plans. If you would like the opportunity to work as a student intern supporting roadway design professionals on wide-ranging projects throughout the State of Florida, then FDA is your firm of choice.
Responsibilities will include producing roadway and traffic control design plans utilizing CADD software; developing quantities, cost estimates, pavement designs, typical sections, 3D modeling, and lane closure calculations; field work to measure, review, and photo document existing conditions; performing roadway calculations; preparing reports and documentation.

Requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Enrolled in accredited Civil Engineering program with a focus on transportation
- OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, CADD and FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) design experience is a plus
- Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Available to work a hybrid schedule including time in our Maitland office each week
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
