Job Description: As a Veterinarian at Fallon Animal Clinic, you will provide high-quality medical care to pets, ensuring their well-being and promoting health through preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services. You will be responsible for performing examinations, diagnosing illnesses, conducting surgeries, administering treatments, and educating pet owners on best practices for care. Our ideal candidate will be an empathetic professional with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing the best care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical exams and diagnose a variety of medical conditions in pets
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including administering medications and performing surgeries
- Provide preventative care, such as vaccinations, parasite control, and dental care
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay current with veterinary knowledge, treatments, and practices
- Provide emergency care as needed during regular business hours
Qualifications:
- DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent degree
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for animal care and customer service
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
