Job Summary
We are seeking a to join our small but growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others in a clinical environment. Spanish language skills are preferred but not required. Training for this role may be provided with the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and preventive measures.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Perform administrative duties such as managing inventory of dental supplies and handling billing tasks when necessary.
- Stay updated on new dental technologies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Assist with daily function and upkeep of the office.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dental anatomy preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in dental assisting is required; familiarity with Eaglesoft software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics procedures is beneficial.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within a dental setting is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
