We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team. The Charge Nurse will oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, supervise staff, and ensure that patients receive the highest quality care in a safe, effective, and respectful environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff) to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and manage patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, physicians’ assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure that the unit is in compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Address patient and family concerns, providing education and support as needed.
- Participate in staff education and development programs.
- Handle patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in coordination with other departments.
- Perform routine clinical tasks and document patient progress accurately in the electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical situations.
Qualifications:
