ESY TIP/TLC Secondary (Grade 7 - post-secondary) Program Special Needs Teachers
Summer Program: July 7, 2025 - August 14, 2025
4 days (Monday - Thursday), 7:45AM - 1:15PM
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts licensure in special education required, severe disabilities preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as an inclusion special education teacher or as a special education teacher of a substantially separate program.
- Such other alternatives as the Director of Student Services may deem acceptable and appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead teacher providing direct instruction to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs.
- Work in concert with other special needs staff, related services providers, specialists, and administrative personnel to develop and implement viable extended year programming for special education students.
- Complete progress reports, behavior support plans, communication logs, data sheets, and other data as required by local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Work with teaching assistants to facilitate programming for the students.
- Participate in staff meetings as needed, providing updates and advice to the team, including parents and guardians. Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
- Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and the Extended School Year Coordinator.
Salary: In accordance with FEA contract
