The Security Specialist will be responsible for monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, maintaining clear communication regarding security matters.
- Document all incidents accurately and prepare reports for management review.
- Participate in conflict management training sessions to enhance skills in de-escalation techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies is a plus.
- A background in military service can be beneficial but is not required.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
