Key Responsibilities:
Participate in structured training programs to learn:
- Insurance fundamentals
- General underwriting principles, guidelines, and procedures
- Learn and apply company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards
- Develop an understanding of different insurance products and market trends
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless underwriting operations
- Assist underwriters in evaluating insurance applications, financial documents, and risk factors
- Analyze data to determine policy eligibility, coverage amounts, and pricing
- Work closely with senior underwriters, agents, and clients to gather necessary information
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation for underwriting decisions
- Assist in reviewing and processing policy renewals and endorsements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, insurance, risk management, or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Prior internship or work experience in insurance, finance, or a related field is a plus but not required
