In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Your primary duties will involve screening and inspecting parcels for prohibited items, logging shipments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and inspect incoming and outgoing mail and packages using designated equipment and procedures.
- Identify and report prohibited or suspicious items to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspected shipments, including timestamps and findings.
- Collaborate with security and logistics teams to ensure timely processing of shipments.
- Adhere to safety and security guidelines to protect employees and facilities.
- Assist with general mailroom tasks such as sorting, distributing, and preparing items for shipping.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a mailroom, warehouse, or security role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
