Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP) to join our team. The QBHP will work closely with the Mental Health Professional (MHP) and serve as an integral part of the client's treatment team, providing clinical interventions and building supportive relationships to help clients and their support network actively engage in the mental health treatment process. Travel is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as part of the client’s treatment team, providing clinical interventions and therapeutic support as directed by the MHP.
- Complete the necessary training to become certified as a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP).
- Provide professionally appropriate transportation to clients when necessary to achieve treatment goals.
- Make necessary referrals and serve as a liaison with other agencies to support client progress.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation to support services rendered, including reports for agencies like DCFS and the legal system.
- Build and maintain a strong support network for the client, working with authorized collateral sources such as parents, teachers, or community agencies.
- Provide clinical supportive interventions both on and off-site, as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Ensure the client’s attendance to initial medication evaluations and subsequent appointments.
- Support medical records’ staff in obtaining necessary PCP referrals promptly.
- Schedule and document QBHP Supervision and Observations as outlined by company policy, ensuring documentation is reviewed and signed by the MHP.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and their support networks.
- Model stability for clients and families through regular sessions.
- Empower clients to improve daily functioning, reduce stressors, and increase focus on treatment goals.
- Encourage client compliance with the established treatment plan.
- Review the Caseload Compliance QBHP report regularly to ensure clients are compliant and tiered appropriately for QBHP services.
- Monitor and report client behavior in various environments.
- Attend all required clinic meetings and staffing sessions.
- Testify in court as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a human services field is preferred.
Job Skills:
- Must meet the definition of a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider as defined by the standards for Arkansas Medicaid Providers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.
- Effective communication and interaction with clients, families, professionals, and staff.
- Ability to travel to various locations as required by the job.
- Required: Excellent spelling, grammar, and computer skills, with proficiency in using multiple electronic platforms and devices.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure productivity and efficiency in managing daily responsibilities.
- Ability to present information and respond clearly and understandably to clients and staff.
- Capacity to maintain a positive, professional attitude while modeling stability for clients and families.
