Position Purpose:
The Information Technology (IT) Director will be a highly experienced and technically capable leader responsible for providing technology vision, hands-on leadership, and execution in the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the organization's Information Technology (IT) program. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of IT systems in a dynamic and multi-site healthcare environment.
The IT Director will oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, security, clinical systems, and service delivery. Key responsibilities include managing and leading IT operations. Staff, and MSP partners, executing strategic IT initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning technology solutions with organizational goals. This role will also involve direct technical involvement in system migrations, healthcare-specific technologies (including EMR/EHR, Radiology PACS, and Modality Equipment), and IT Security frameworks specific to healthcare environments.
Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership, direction, and hands-on technical expertise for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure.3. Manage, maintain, and support Radiology PACS systems, imaging modality equipment, and other clinical technologies, ensuring performance and security standards are met.5. Establish and lead IT strategic planning processes to align IT objectives with the organization’s business priorities.7. Develop, maintain, and enforce IT governance frameworks, including change management, patch management, and disaster recovery plans.9. Lead incident response and problem management processes, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive measures.11. Proactively assess organizational technology needs, conduct risk assessments, and identify opportunities for improvement.13. Collaborate with executive leadership to support business goals through effective use of technology.15. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to healthcare IT.
- Coordinate IT support and technology resources for all FTOC locations, including mobile units and remote access services.
- Ensure IT policies and procedures are clearly documented, communicated, and enforced.
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability across all IT systems and processes.
- Oversee and manage IT budgets, procurement, asset management, and resource allocation.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements to support organizational IT needs.
- Provide leadership and oversight for IT staff and service delivery teams, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT Security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and lead EMR/EHR system migrations and related clinical system integrations to ensure data integrity, compliance, and minimal disruption to operations.

Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent technical training combined with relevant experience and industry certifications.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior IT management or director-level role in the healthcare industry.
Experience managing Radiology PACS systems, modality equipment, and clinical imaging workflows.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT projects and deliver results within scope, timeline, and budget.
Experience in vendor management, IT budgeting, and resource allocation.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and clinical application environments. - Ability to effectively balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership responsibilities.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare IT security frameworks, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in leading and executing EMR/EHR system migrations.
Work Schedule:
- General work hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; however, start times may vary based on organizational needs.
- Schedule flexibility required to support system upgrades, critical incidents, or project deadlines.
- Overtime, weekend, or after-hours work may be required due to organizational, staffing, and patient care needs.
Work schedules are subject to change based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs. As such, FTOC may need to modify work schedules to meet such needs.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be required for this position. Must be able to travel to FTOC sites as needed, including short notice.
