POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Family Abuse Services is seeking a Part time Finance and Office Administrator. This position will assist with administrative tasks to the agency in a team-oriented environment and reporting to the Executive Director. The Finance and Office Administrator ensures the support and management of financial and administrative duties.
Family Abuse Services of Alamance County, located within the Family Justice Center, is tasked with planning and coordinating domestic and intimate partner violence services and prevention education across Alamance County, North Carolina.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Math or related field and/or 3 in book keeping
Must be adept at learning/navigating new programs
1-2 years experience in Payroll, AP or administrative or similar role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision using problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications and working knowledge of basic applicable technology
- Demonstrated skills in working in a team

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance:
Process accounts receivable ensuring timeliness, accuracy of codes and appropriate backup
Grant management and reporting
- Bank Deposits
- General office support
- Process accounts payable ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information:
- Prepare billing for grant reimbursements
- File and insure that invoices are paid on a weekly basis
- Assist Executive Director as needed
- Administrative
- Provide administrative and clerical support including: answering telephones and directing calls appropriately, forwarding voice mails from the general mailbox to the appropriate staff member, and sorting incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and courier deliveries for distribution, ordering supplies, completing office errands
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies and manage servicing or repairs to office equipment
- Record & submit minutes/notes during weekly staff & committees meetings
- Write thank you letters for financial donations
- Use Microsoft office, spreadsheets, and QuickBooks software to prepare reports, memos, and documents
- Make travel, meeting and other arrangements for staff
- Obtain criminal background checks and onboard for all interns, volunteers, and new staff
- Pick up mail and deliver to main office
Skills:
Proficiency with the following is required:
- MS Office Suite
