Development Director of Programs Job Description
The Development Manager is responsible for building, managing, and actively cultivating and soliciting a diversified development portfolio of corporations, individuals, and foundations. This position will report to the Director of Development. In partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the COO & Fiscal Coordinator, the development manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the overall strategy of fundraising, communication, special events, and donor engagement. Activities to ensure success include executing a continuous donor engagement and communications strategies, identifying and securing sponsorships and supporting a robust foundation grant revenue pipeline. This position will work closely with the ED, COO and FANM board to successfully implement and execute fundraising strategies, events and marketing efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- GRANTS MANAGEMENTo Write,organize,edit,and submit grant applications in accordance with grantor
requirements and deadlines, and monitors and tracks status of proposals.o Complete Annual Competitive Non-competitive renewal applications for funding.o Researchfoundationandpublicopportunitiesthatalignwiththeorganization’smissionand
impact with the funder respective priorities. This includes monitoring local, state, federal,
and private announcements to keep well informed of funding opportunities.o Assembleallpertinentgrantmaterialnecessaryforfinalsubmissionanddevelopsproposal
budgets in partnership with program services and accounting.
o Develop and maintain Impact Ventures Calendar grant-related deadlines,track necessary actions, and coordinate timelines with staff as needed.
o Write and submit all required grant reports sponsorship reports to demonstrate impact to our donors, investors and stakeholders.
o Keep Abreast Of Data,research,statistics,and information about issues,trends and community needs relating to target populations and program services.
o Work collaboratively with the program team to obtain information needed for proposals and reports.
o Develop and maintain a case for giving and impact of giving to philanthropic priorities of Impact Ventures including written materials and current relevant statistics for proposals and stewardship.
- FUNDRAISING AND SPECIAL EVENTSo In Collaboration with the ED,implement a continuous donor engagement plan designed to achieve growth over previous yearso Support Robust Foundation Submission Pipelineo Manage Portfolio Of Individual Donorso Maintain Accurate Records In Organization Database,Salesforceo Plan,coordinate and execute events,including 3rd-party partnerfundraisingevents.o Identify And Solicit Event Sponsors,financial and in-kindo Develop And Adhere To Event Budgetso Manage logistics to ensure successful day-of event experience for partners and participants
- COMMUNICATIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS:o Manage annual communication campaigns to donors and volunteerso Promote And Market Events To Increase Participationo Assist in the development of the annual Impact Reporto Create strong presence for Impact Ventures Locally Through Public Speaking,community involvement, special events and other media initiativeso Collaborated with Program staff Monthly-newslettero Collaborate with Executive Director on donor stewardship-newslettero Submit Monthly Website Updates,including event listings,promotions,sponsor listings and awareness articles
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:o 3–5 years of development experience and working with private foundation, family foundation, and/or corporate foundation grant writing and grantmanagement.o Knowledge of current trends,resources and information related fundraising and philanthropyo Excellent Interpersonal Skills(written and verbal) necessary in order to communicate diplomatically and effectively with volunteers, high level donors, and staffo Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products,in addition to Salesforce another relative fundraising softwareo Ability to work flexible schedule–nights,weekends,and occasional local travel required
Bachelor in Business Administration
Demonstrated success in developing and evaluating program models, selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs
Proficient with grant writing, grant evaluation, and technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details

Compensation: 60K to 80K
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
