What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Plane Pilot position at Family Air Tours?
Pay:
Starting at $200 per day and $30 per flight hour and is based on pilot experience
Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate aircraft safely and efficiently according to Federal Aviation Regulations
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is in proper working order
- Communicate with air traffic control and follow their instructions during takeoff, landing, and flight
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust flight plans as necessary
- Analyze flight data and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the flight
- Supervise and coordinate with the flight crew to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid pilot's license issued by the FAA
- 2nd Class FAA Medical
- Minimum of 1200 hours of flight time
- Minimum of 50 hours of seaplane time
- Alaska Time is Plus
Period of Employment:
Season starts May 1st and ends September 30th
Housing:
We have space available in a bunkhouse across the street from Family Air at $775.00 a month.
