Housing Recovery Peer Advocate Role
The Family and Childrens Association is seeking a Housing Recovery Peer Advocate to provide recovery support services to residents in housing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong working relationships with housing program staff to identify resident needs and provide coaching and group facilitation services.
- Identify community-based supports and connect residents with events at THRIVE Recovery Centers.
- Develop and implement groups onsite at THRIVE Recovery Centers to engage residents in services specific to their housing program.
- Assist in developing plans to expand the agency's presence within housing programs.
- Provide monthly reports to the agency and partners.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of 30 hours CCAR- Recovery Coach Academy and 16 hours peer ethics training.
- Relevant life experience required, including personal experience living with a disability, history of substance use, or social/emotional challenge.
- Familiarity with recovery skills, support services, and local community resources required.
