Family Brands produces franks, bologna, smoked sausages, hams, Redhots, beef and pork roasts, BBQ ribs, gourmet chilis and various other delicious products.
Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist will lead the marketing activities for Family Brands, LLC and its sub-brands through B2B and B2C marketing initiatives. This person will report to the Vice President of Retail and work with the sales, new product development, and corporate marketing teams. The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple projects at once, be comfortable with ambiguity, and possess a positive, winning attitude.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging and label mock-ups, utilizing established USDA guidelines, in conjunction with the product development team, QC/regulatory affairs manager, and purchasing agent.
- Maintain product development tracker and work with the product development team to brainstorm innovative concepts for bringing products to market.
- Create and update product information on the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) using 1WorldSync to be published to customers.
- Integrate marketing communications and promotions through traditional (print, TV, radio) and digital (social media, website, email marketing) channels.
- Create and maintain product catalogs for foodservice and retail products using Adobe InDesign.
- Collaborate with corporate marketing team and outside vendors/creative agencies to frequently update branded websites, create content for social media engagement, and ideate ways to reach target consumers through multiple digital channels.
- Assist foodservice and retail teams in tradeshow support, meeting with customers to understand business needs, market research, and conducting ride-alongs to better understand market trends.
- Manage E-Commerce listings and process online orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, or business administration
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter
- Organized yet flexible with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Self-motivated and proven ability to take the initiative while possessing a team-first mentality
