JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Hong Fook ADHC Center as well as the supervision of the transportation department and the meal program for both Hong Fook Center (HFC) and Hong Fook ADHC Center – Harrison St. (HFH). The Program Director directly supervises all van drivers and health care aides and senior aides working at Hong Fook Center.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations of Hong Fook Center
- Oversee transportation department of both HFC and HFH including coordinating routes as well as preparing required reports and documentation for CalTrans and State ADHC licensing requirements
- Maximize resources in the transportation department such that staff and vehicles are utilized to the utmost efficiency
- Supervise all regular and back-up drivers.
- Oversee all vehicle usage and maintenance.
- Supervise health care aides and senior aides at HFC.
- Monitor and maintain an ADA for HFC in accordance with the ADA specified in the yearly budget
- Support the Program Director of HFH in completion of TARS as well as the maintenance and ordering of supplies, equipment and furniture
- Oversee meal distribution for both HFC and HFH. Work with RD to ensure quality of meals
- Prepare required documentation for Child and Adult Day Care Food Program and the contracted food services vendor.
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrator
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, in the field of nursing, social work, recreation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, dietetics or gerontology
- Ability to oversee and coordinate a licensed health care program
- Experience in a clinical setting and in working with the frail elderly
- At least 3 years experience in supervising staff
- Ability to establish effective relationships with co-workers and participants
- Bilingual in Cantonese and English language preferred (both written and verbal)
- Good communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks to meet time deadlines
- Ability to supervise staff who are not present in center
- Ability to see and hear clearly in order to interact with others
- Ability to use a computer
- To lift a minimum of 20 lbs
