Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide support and assistance to our 19-year-old female daughter who is paraplegic. The ideal candidate will have experience in caretaking/companionship and possess a strong desire to improve quality of life for a disabled individual. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing her well-being by offering personalized care and companionship.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Helping with executive functioning such as time management with school assignments, meal planning and preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness in her living space, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Supporting her with mobility assistance and transportation to work, school, or social activities. (In our vehicle with wheelchair tie-downs)
- Assisting with her household chores such as dishes, laundry, cleaning bedroom, meal prep, etc, (reach or move something when she is physically unable).
- Overseeing stretching/range of motion, functional fitness.
- Engage in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with client and her families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or moving as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required by client needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
