In Home Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support for one person in our home. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate, empathetic approach and be willing to learn the specific needs of our family. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our family member by assisting with daily activities, including active support of physical therapy and mobility support and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including mobility assistance and support of physical therapy.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related medical fields such as medical-surgical, emergency medicine, or geriatrics is preferred.
• Experience with elder or paralytic patient caregiving preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Valid drivers license.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
