What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Family Center Farm & Home?
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during deliveries
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading
- Experience driving a manual transmission vehicle is preferred
- Familiarity with using GPS or navigation systems to follow routes
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role is a plus
Note: This position may require operating a tractor-trailer for certain deliveries. Training will be provided for candidates without prior experience in this area.
