As the Executive Director, you’ll set the vision and strategy for Family Centered Services while ensuring operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for financial health, team development, program effectiveness, and external partnerships. Most importantly, you’ll create an environment where your team can do their best work while staying deeply connected to the mission.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and implement FCS’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and financial sustainability.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, providing clear and actionable updates.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and impact, ensuring follow-through on key initiatives.

Financial Oversight & Growth

  • Manage the annual budget and ensure financial health and sustainability.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including grants, donor relations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive financial stewardship and revenue diversification to strengthen the organization’s future.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build a high-performing team, recruiting and retaining top talent.
  • Strengthen staff engagement and reduce turnover by fostering a culture of trust, empowerment, and results.
  • Ensure staff training, mentorship, and professional development to enhance service delivery and innovation.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary advocate for FCS, building strong relationships with funders, partners, and the community.
  • Strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and donors.
  • Increase FCS’s visibility and impact through strategic communication and outreach.

Program & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure that programs are impactful, effective, and aligned with community needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements governing nonprofit operations.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to measure impact, track key performance metrics, and continuously improve services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Education, Business, Public Administration or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in executive leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, financial oversight, and strategic planning
  • Proven success in managing staff and cultivating positive organizational culture
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Familiarity with the needs of rural communities preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $65,000-$85,000 base salary
  • Bonus: Up to 20% of annual salary based on performance outcomes
  • Benefits: Paid time off, flexible benefits under a Cafeteria Plan
