What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Monitor position at Family & Children's Aid?
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (8 hours/week)
The building monitor is in charge of the clinic building(s) for the designated hours. The monitor is entrusted with safety and security checks, and closing the building.
The position includes but is not limited to the following:
Arriving to designated building on time and remaining there for the assigned shift.
Checking with receptionist to verify which staff are in the building and which rooms are in use.
Monitor the waiting room to be sure that only staff and people who have an appointment are entering the building.
Notifying staff that their client has arrived.
Making rounds in the building once every 30 minutes, including right before end of shift to confirm that building is empty.
Confirming when staff leave.
Walking staff to their car if requested.
Locking the door at the end of shift and setting the alarm if the building is empty.
