What are the responsibilities and job description for the GLHS Early Learning Inclusion Specialist position at Family & Children's Place?
The Early Learning Inclusion Specialist will be responsible for promoting an inclusive education by creating an environment that accommodates the diverse needs of all learners in the program. The ELIS will conduct screenings to identify children with needs and then work in collaboration with educators, parents, guardians, and other staff to develop individualized action plans, interventions, and strategies to address and accommodate those needs. The ELIS monitors and documents the progress and outcomes of action plans and provides ongoing support and consultation to children, parents, and educators. In all responsibilities, will support the agencys trauma-informed services and policies.
- Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 2 years direct experience in early childhood education field
- Bilingual/bicultural English-Spanish strongly preferred
- Must be able to appropriately respond to the cultural differences present among the organizations service population
- Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification
