This key position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the HANDS Program, including program planning, budgeting, staffing, training, monitoring and evaluation. The Director assures compliance with Kentucky HANDS regulations, policies and procedures as well as achievement of HANDS program goals. This management position earns a competitive wage of $62,000 - $67,000 annually. The is a retention bonus of $100 after 90 days and $200 at one year. We also offer great benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 403(b) plan, paid time off, vacation time, paid sick time, up to 10 paid holidays, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. Directors have 4 weeks of vacation. Employees get to choose which days they use for their paid holidays! ABOUT HANDS
The Kentucky Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) program is a voluntary home visitation program for any new or expectant parents. HANDS supports families as they build healthy, safe environments for the optimal growth and development of children. The main goals of HANDS is to ensure healthy pregnancies and births, child growth and development, safe homes, and self-sufficient families.
HANDS supports families throughout their pregnancy and the first two years of the baby's life. All families receive information and learn about resources available in the community for new parents.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE HANDS DIRECTOR
The HANDS Director is responsible for coordinating all program activities, the scope of which is inclusive of program planning, service delivery, day-to-day coordination of activities, staff training, ongoing supervision, and monitoring and evaluation of projects. In all responsibilities, will support the agency's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts as well as our trauma-informed services and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR HANDS DIRECTOR
Master's degree in human services, social work, or related field strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
Must be licensed in Kentucky as a CSW, LSW, or RN.
Must have at least three years of experience working with families and children, preferably in role related to child development.
Previous experience in program administration and management is preferred.
Training in trauma-informed practices is strongly preferred.
