What are the responsibilities and job description for the VPS Clinician position at Family & Children's Place?
The Visitation & Parenting Services Clinician is responsible for providing parenting assessments and related services to families, couples, and individuals. Conducts face to face parenting assessments and composes detailed, comprehensive assessment reports for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Assessments include family strengths and needs to address child/family safety, substance abuse, history of abuse/neglect, parenting abilities and other levels of psychosocial functioning. Evaluates potential mental health diagnoses along with related symptomology. Conceptualizes and presents cases to multi-disciplinary team for review. Conducts observations of parents and children in the home setting or approved supervised locations in relation to forecast assessments.
Masters degree in social work or related field.
Must hold current, active licensure or certification in social work, marriage and family therapy or related field.
