Campus Pastor - Lake Worth Beach
Position Overview:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible to assist the Family Church Regional Pastor in managing and overseeing the ministries and office operations of Family Church, casting vision and providing direct leadership to the ministry and volunteer staff, shepherding members and guests through biblical teaching, outreach and encouragement, and leading the church to grow spiritually, numerically and financially.
Reports directly to: Family Church Regional Pastor
Prerequisites
- Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of Family Church.
- Affirm the Family Church Network statements of belief and practices as codified in the organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement of 2000.
- Maintain a close and healthy walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, including a high standard of excellence and moral character.

Minimum of five years’ experience in the following areas:
- Church Management
- Community Outreach
- Employee Engagement
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline, such as Divinity or Ministry.
- Record of consistent, high-level performance.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
- Professional and positive demeanor.
General Responsibilities
- Advance the culture of Family Church by supporting Leadership Principles, First Team Concept and fostering a climate of inclusivity and mutual respect.
- Advance the mission and vision by supporting all decisions regarding strategic direction, programming changes, church-wide gatherings, and budgetary decisions.
- Communicate effectively with leaders, peers, members, and guests.
- Manage personal and team workflow, including documenting assigned duties and tasks.
- Work a flexible schedule, which may include after hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Lead efficiency and accountability for campus operational and financial performance.
- Attend required meetings, including weekly staff chapel, campus pastor’s meeting, preaching meeting, weekly campus staff meeting, scheduled First Connection gatherings, and Church United gatherings.
- Attend required trips and events, including annual staff retreats, leader rallies, Church for the Rest of Us conference, and summer camps.
- Lead the campus to achieve and surpass ministry goals and objectives, including numeric growth and spiritual maturity.
- Provide leadership to campus staff and volunteers ensuring their adherence to the mission and core values of the Family Church Network.
Specific Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop and lead ministry-area paid and volunteer staff.
- Build relationships with members, guests, and regular attenders.
- Manage personal and campus expenses to ensure they meet approved guidelines and annual amounts, and coordinate financial requirements including monthly expense reports, event budgets, and pre-approvals for expenditures.
- Demonstrate stewardship of church resources including supplies, equipment and intellectual property.
- Maintain detailed documentation for campus and departmental operations and adhere to procedural guidelines and policies.
- Drive member engagement and meaningful membership by encouraging members to serve, give and live on mission.
- Prepare and deliver weekly sermons.
- Provide oversight for campus shepherding activities and discipleship opportunities for Family Church members.
