JOB TITLE: Thrift Store Clerk/Sorter DEPARTMENT: Renewed Hope Thrift Store
REPORTS TO: Thrift Store Manager
BENEFITS: Part time position; Looking to fill shifts on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am-5:15pm and Saturdays 9am-4:30pm (approximately 28-30 hours/week), Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, Vacation/Sick Leave
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The clerk/sorter supports the efforts of the Family Crisis Centers’ mission by selling gently used donated clothing and household items.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sorts donated items determining acceptable quality.
- Prices and sets out donated clothing and household items for display to be sold.
- Communicates with customers by assisting with shopping, checking out and bagging purchases.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the building.
- May need to perform closing duties independently.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be friendly, providing excellent customer service to the customers.
- Must be able to contribute to a positive work environment, cultivating positive relationships with fellow coworkers and volunteers.
- Must be willing to assist with tasks as needed and have the ability to work well with other employees and volunteers.
- Occasionally may have to move bags/boxes weighing up to 20 pounds to the sorting room.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the building to place items or assist customers.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol.
