Sterilization Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff by ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position requires a strong understanding of sterilization processes, as well as knowledge of anatomy and medical records.

*Duties*

- Perform cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

- Assist in the preparation of treatment areas and ensure that all necessary instruments are available for procedures.

- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and monitor the effectiveness of sterilization equipment.

- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control procedures.

- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and assisting with patient care.

- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and participate in ongoing training as required.

*Experience*

- Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred, but willing to offer on the job training for dedicated individuals.

- Familiarity with medical coding is a plus, along with a solid understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures.

- Experience using dental software systems (softdent, weave) is highly desirable.

- Strong ATTENTION TO DETAIL and ability to follow strict protocols to ensure patient safety.
