We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed, ensuring precision in capturing dental impressions.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, medical documentation standards, and advancements in prosthodontics.
- Potential to train for Hygienist position after 2 years of assisting.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Knowledge of systems related to dental practice management will be beneficial.
- Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
