Duties
- Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper rotation of items to minimize spoilage and maintain freshness.
- Organize products on shelves according to store layout and merchandising standards.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding product locations and availability, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor, ensuring a safe shopping environment.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle cash register operations when required, processing transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as this can enhance customer interactions.
- Basic knowledge of retail math is beneficial for inventory management tasks.
