Drafter/Client Services Specialist
Department: Legal Services
Reports to: Director of Operations
FSLA Status: Exempt
Hours Per Week: 40 (full time)
Delineation: Drafter 75%; Client Services 25%
Work Days: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00/hour, periodic reviews, benefits eligibility (health insurance, dental and vision insurance, supplemental insurance, group life insurance, long-term disability insurance), 401(k), paid holidays and generous paid-time off policy.

Our new team member must have awesome attention to detail, be well-versed in the Microsoft Office suite of programs and be able to manage high rotation of drafting tasks. The Drafter will be tasked with editing and reviewing legal documents, with special attention on grammatical edits, updates for execution and file management. No legal/technical knowledge needed. However, a firm foundation in Microsoft Word styles and templates would be useful. This position is expected to work independently and manage workflow from a variety of other team members.
An ideal candidate will also work with the other members of the Client Services Team to serve as the initial point of contact for clients and must enjoy communicating with clients in-person, by telephone, and in writing. The Client Services Specialists must be able to work independently to schedule client meetings, manage attorney calendars, ensure the timely progression of client matters through law firm processes, and make certain that prospective and existing clients’ experiences exceed expectations to enhance the law firm’s reputation in the community. In addition, the CSS will provide administrative support, including filing, scanning, managing law firm correspondence, and using software to assist with invoicing and file management.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, especially Word.
- Ability to accomplish requirements of position in high volume work environment requiring excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform moderate document management with a working knowledge of various software packages such as Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Jotforms, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
- High School Diploma or GED
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and edit legal documents for grammar, punctuation and style.
- Maintain consistency with document guidelines.
- Maintain and update document templates.
- Manage deadlines and production assignments.
- Finalize and print estate planning documents for execution.
- Proactively providing timely feedback to management on any issues that affect office support needs or conference rooms.
- Maintaining client confidentiality with regards to clients, firm interests and employees.
- Handling and/or participating in special projects as necessary.
- Participating in meetings as required.
- Timely and regular attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
