Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods to various destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the van in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport passengers or goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transportation.
- Handle heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading goods.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a van driver or in related roles such as school bus driving or limousine services.
- Strong ability to maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment.
- Experience in delivery driving or shuttle driving is advantageous.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
