Responsibilities: The Custodial Supervisor oversees the night time custodial staff and is responsible for supervisory work involving the assignment and direct supervision of custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of buildings, offices, classrooms, as well as minor maintenance and repair tasks. The Custodial Manager performs general cleaning, building and grounds upkeep, and special projects, including operating snow plow and snow removal equipment. Full Time 2-10 PM
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Capable of making independent decisions and using good judgment within proper policy and procedures. Job requires traveling within the area served by the program and may involve occasional weekend work. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma and two years experience with custodial and maintenance work in an education/institutional setting.

General Duties:
- Follows all agency administrative and programmatic policies and procedures.
- Assists in ensuring the agency meets all federal, state, local, rules, regulations and licensing requirements.
- Follows all aspects of the agency personnel polices and procedures.
- Immediately reports child abuse to supervisor or appropriate staff person.
- Actively supports agency mission and philosophy.
Essential Duties:
- Supervises Night time Custodians in the completion of janitorial duties and daily inspection of building and grounds.
- Removes trash from the Cherry Street site, satellite classrooms, and satellite office areas as needed.
- Sweeps/mops classroom mats. Vacuums classroom rugs and spot cleans as necessary and in all offices as needed.
- Replenishes hand soap in soap dispensers and stocks paper products in all bathrooms and closets as needed.
- Keeps storage areas and boiler room clean, orderly, and safely secured.
- Keeps Cherry Street playground and building front free of trash.
- Keeps driveways, sidewalks, playground, and front and rear emergency/fire exits free of snow and ice during winter months.
- Keeps playgrounds at all sites and fire exits clean and safely secured.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assists with the delivery of supplies to the Agency.
- Sets-up/takes down tables and chairs for Agency meetings.
- Clean entire premise including fixtures, furniture, floors, and windows.
- Opens and locks buildings for meetings and other events.
- Cleans, maintains and arranges for repair of equipment.
- Secures building nightly.
- Ensures that all activities conform to Agency guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with staff members.
- Appropriately operates all equipment and machinery as required.
- Keeps playgrounds at all sites and fire exits clean and safely secured.
- Inspects building and grounds daily for safety and cleanliness. Communicates any safety hazards or building maintenance needs to Supervisor.
Other Duties:
- Works within a team to plan and implement major cleaning and maintenance projects.
- Operates office equipment as needed.
- In accordance with Family Enrichment Network's "team" philosophy, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carryout or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description.
